Regular readers to my column will know I am professional samba dancer as well as a health and fitness expert, and you will have seen from previous columns that I like to add a taste of Rio to my exercise plans where possible!
This was the inspiration for a new 14-day diet and exercise plan that I’ve helped create for Slim Kitchen, whose teas I use alongside my fitness plan to help stay slim. Alongside with SK’s lead nutritionist Apollonas Georgios, we have created a 14-day plan that, when followed correctly for 14 days, promises to help you lose up to 6kg, as well as detox the mind and body!
You’ll have to head to www.slimkitchen.co.uk for the full 14-day plans, but below is a glimpse of one day in terms of the nutrition and exercise expectations.
Here’s how your Monday would look, for example:
As soon as you wake, mix one cup of warm water with 2 tsp of Apple cider vinegar and juice of half a lemon.
Before your workout, have a cup of Slim Kitchen Daytime.
Last month, I shared five of 10 exercise moves you can use daily to train your whole body. These include, for example, The Bomb Shell (squat and lunges at the same time).
For this one, you need to keep your feet slightly more than hip-width apart. Squat, and as you go down breath in and move into the lunge position, making sure your knees don’t go all the way forward. The kettle bell must be in the hand of the side that’s lunging forward. Keep your back straight and your abs tight. Do 15 each side, then star jumps for 20 seconds.
If you head to the Slim Kitchen website, you’ll see a short video clip of all ten moves to help you achieve correct form. All of the exercises are designed to be done while at home, in the gym or some even on the move (the Train Triceps Press is particularly useful!).
These exercises can be carried out in any order, so be sure to mix up the routines. Simply use these exercises across two weeks, remembering to have a rest on Thursday, and enjoy the results!
