New research shows just how many of us cant help but let our pals know about our workouts, via social media. A survey of 2,000 UK adults carried out by beabetteryou.com found that almost two thirds are active on social media while working out. Participants also confessed to scanning through Facebook, taking a cheeky Snap or two and even uploading a picture to Instagram. Part of the problem is that todays technology has made it so easy for us to share our gym success, with apps such as Fitbit and Strava allowing us share achievements with a single click. This research also shows our desire to keep our followers ‘impressed’ by our fitness efforts, with 18% citing this as the reason for social media sharing at the gym. If anything, this shows us Brits to be bloody fab at multi-tasking. Winning!
62% of Brits post on social media when working out
