It’s time to get down and dirty and covered in mud, in the most regal way possible.
This May, the first Spartan Super of 2016 will take place on the Aston Down Airfield in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds, at the home of the Queen’s grandchildren, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall.
Don’t let the relatively flat nature of the airfield fool you, for there is some serious terrain to deal with and will certainly challenge the seasoned OCR racer. The course will include 20+ obstacles over a 13km stretch, transforming the venue into a truly challenging obstacle course, perfect for anyone looking to test out their abilities.
All those taking part will receive a finisher’s t-shirt and medal, free beer, free photos and access to the electronic chip timing facilities to know exactly how well they’ve done. Not to mention a chance to soak in the breathtaking surroundings of the south Cotswolds – it promises to be a truly regal experience for both racers and spectators!
This event will also include a Junior Spartan Race, to give all aspiring obstacle racers the opportunity to build their experience, and make this an event for all members of the family. Those taking part in this Super will also have the opportunity to earn their first Trifecta wedge piece of 2016, starting a collection that will grow with the following month’s Stadium Sprint. So prepare yourself for royally good time, packed full of muddy fun and challenging obstacles.

If you’re getting tired of the same old road race, or you’ve had your fill of obstacles and sportives, why not switch things up?
The HIIT Man race introduces a brand new genre of road racing, one that combines itself with the espionage and thrills of your favourite spy film. Interested? We certainly are!
Held in the heart of Central London, participants are required to download the ‘DeadDrop App’, which will deliver personalised race tasks to each group taking part on the day, leading you along the 5km, 10km and 15km routes as you look to complete your ‘mission’. To make this even more interesting, those taking part aren’t told the exact starting point of the race until a few days before the event, and receive special APP codes one week prior to access ‘secret’ event mission information. Racer objectives may include Zombie Chasing, Selfie Taking, Bounty Hunting or Assassination – you’ll only know on the day!
The only requirements for this event are a sense of humour and at least some level of fitness, but if you get stuck there will be an ex-military team on the ground for assistance; this is serious road racing. Once you and your group have completed the race, you’ll receive complimentary beer, a dead drop medal and a well deserved pat on the back for a job well done.
