AVALANCHE RUN – CHASE THE YETI

As part of a team or on your own, you can challenge yourself over 5km, 10km or 20km courses, which combine unique natural and man-made terrain. The courses have been designed to deliver the ultimate running experience, you’ll tackle stunning woodland tracks and trails, open farmland as well as man-made obstacles. These include ‘The Quarry’ and ‘The Bomb’, originally designed to test the best all terrain vehicles.

In your quest to catch the Yeti, you’ll face a series of obstacles to test your mental & physical strength, skill and stamina. You’ll run, climb, jump, wade and crawl your way through a course which will challenge you on every level to give you a huge sense of achievement as you cross the finish line.

Obstacles are achievable for all levels of runner and you will be helped and encouraged by our team of marshals and other competitors. Team work can play a part when tackling the obstacles so sign up with your friends and colleagues for a great outdoor experience.

You’ll be glad you’ve finished but you’ll want to do it all over again! This is not just a race, it’s all about finishing!

Following the success and popularity of the Victoria Park 10km last January, the organisers have decided to put another helping of this brilliant 10km in one of East London’s best parks.

Starting at 9:30am on 22 January, the beautiful surroundings of Victoria park provide a perfect backdrop for a flat 10km designed to burn off those festive indulgences. The race will be chip-timed and UKA Licensed, and runners will receive a goody bag and medals after the event. Competitors can also expect mashalls, water stations, toilets and a baggage area. All runners are welcomed into a friendly atmosphere where we aim to help people to get fit after a gluttonous Christmas period!

Those looking for a fast time can make the most of what is a fast course.

THE MAVERICK INOV-8 ORIGINAL SUSSEX

The first race scheduled for the 2017 season, the Maverick inov-8 Original takes runners to the amazing South Downs National Park.

There are three brand new routes for all levels of trail runner, enabling runners to challenge the South Downs, which has a reputation for being pretty tough thanks to rolling hills and bustling market towns.

The South Downs National Park’s landscape covers 1,600sqkm of breathtaking views and hidden gems. Starting from the awesome Amberley Museum, which was built to reflect working life in the area, the routes boast a rich tapestry of wildlife and stunning landscapes that weave together to provide trail runners with some superb conditions. The location is prefect for runners looking for easy access from major cities, with a main train line just outside the venue, so there are no excuses!! Make sure this event is firmly in your 2017 calendar – it’s going to be a cracker.

As with all Maverick events you can expect up to three on-course hydration and nutrition outposts provided by Skratch Labs, plus prizes for the winners of each distance, male and female.

This year, Maverick Race has joined forces with trail running powerhouse bran inov-8, which will be the title sponsor of Maverick Race’s Original Series and will also be involved with the new X Series. Last year more than 5,500 runners of all abilities toed the 10 start lines of the Original Series across the country and this year, the Maverick Race X Series will feature trail running events of 10k, half-marathon and marathon distance over tougher terrain with increased elevation gain.

Dirty Rotten Scramble

An adrenaline-charged obstacle course comprised of tough trails, cold lakes and muddy climbs. Choose from a 6km, 12km or 18km course and tackle the brand new obstacles on offer. Finish up this challenging, dirty rotten mud run with a well-deserved beer on campsite.

Diablo Pukka Race – April 2nd – Bedfordshire

An obstacle race designed to test even the most experienced of OCR runners. Located at Devil’s Pit and featuring the steepest hills and harshest mud, this is not one for the faint-hearted. Choose from 5km, 10km or 15km (climbing a total of 1,014 feet). Enjoy!

World War Run Pukka Race
