The award-winning 13-miler in Trafford is the race to run if you’re looking for a super-fast course with a real chance to smash your PB. With only 41m elevation gain and a glorious two-mile + finish straight, the inaugural event last autumn saw a phenomenal number of athletes achieve their fastest time, proving that Manchester is one of the quickest high-profile half marathons in the UK.
The race went on to win Bronze in the Best Half Marathon category (≥ 5,000 runners) at The Running Awards 2017, and is a favourite among the running community.
Why? Runners can look forward to a race of the highest standards, with the flat and fast course on wide, closed roads accurately measured to IAAF / AIMS certification. The athletes’ village at Emirates Old Trafford, home to Lancashire County Cricket Club, offers fantastic facilities for runners. Add to this the superb crowd support and first-class entertainment and it’s a race not to miss!
This is an excellent end of season event to your running calendar. There are 15,000 places available and entry fees are at £34 for affiliated /£36 for non-affiliated athletes.
