the first thing you must do is get motivated, which i personally think is the hardest part.
We all want to look like Olympians, body builders and professional sportsmen or women. But why is it that even though we eat right and train hard we still don’t look like they do?
We may not have their money or the time they have to dedicate to working out, but after all the excuses what it really comes down to is desire and determination. If you want to be the best then you need to have the mindset that you are, and will, be the best… even if the only person you are competing against is yourself!
We may not be running for gold medals or boxing for world titles but we are all fighting to be better than we were yesterday. Eventually, we all come to a point in our training routine when we hit that wall where no matter how many sit ups we do or how much protein we consume, we just can’t seem to get to the next level. So how do the professionals do it? Obsession! You must be consumed by your goals and throw away all your excuses. A good healthy diet, early morning workouts, late-night workouts, supplements, weight training, cardiovascular training… You must leave no stone unturned, just like the professionals.
The first thing you must do is get motivated, which I personally think is the hardest part. Yet if you can figure out why you want to achieve your goal then that mindset will fuel your daily routine. In the words of gold medallist and heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua, you have to “stay hungry”. Here, I’ve have devised a list of the things that will help towards keeping you hungry for success:
- Have a vision of what you want to achieve
- Create a programme based on your vision
- Create a diet based on your programme
- Utilise your programme and diet
- Get plenty of sleep
- Become obsessed with your vision and this list!
