Juicinglong lasting, great tasting

We’ve got some brand new recipes to keep you interested in maintaining a healthy diet that will stand the test of time and will hopefully become firm favourites within the weekly routine (they are so utterly delicious, it would be difficult to resist!)

So without further ado, we present to you three recipes to keep you going…

Minty Coconut Super Breakfast Blast!

Perfect for a bit of ‘breakfast on-the-go’, this beautiful blend is quick and easy to make (no juicer required!) This gorgeous green glass of goodness not only wins many points on the health front, but it tastes incredibly good, too. Coconut water and banana are a match made in tropical heaven– yet throw in some crisp juicy apple, a handful of deep green spinach and a twist of fresh mint, you really do take this smoothie to another level.

This baby will provide you with enough energy to see you through until lunch and is delightfully rich in fibre, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and good natural carbs.

JUICY INGREDIENTS: 1 apple (Golden Delicious or Gala), 1 handful fresh mint, 1/2 banana, 1 handful spinach leaves, 200ml coconut water (Vitacoco is great and 100% pure) and 1 small handful ice.

JUICY INSTRUCTIONS: Remove the core from the apple and chop into small pieces. Remove the leaves from the mint and discard the stems. Peel the banana. Put everything into the blender and whiz for 30-60 seconds. Pour and enjoy!

Antioxidant Berry Blast

This has been fondly dubbed the ‘super blend of all super blends’ and now, thanks to UK supermarkets stocking awesome little ingredients such as goji berries and medjool dates, it doesn’t take an age to get all of your ingredients together.

Goji berries are the most nutritionally dense fruit on earth and are rich in vitamin C, vitamin B2, vitamin A, iron, selenium and many other antioxidants. They contain twice as many antioxidants than blueberries– which are already considered top of the berry list in this genre!

JUICY INGREDIENTS: 250ml raw almond milk, 2 medjool dates, 1 small handful goji berries, 1 small handful blackberries, 1 small handful blueberries, 1 small handful raspberries and 1 small handful ice.

JUICY INSTRUCTIONS: Remove any hard ends and stones from the dates, chop and add to the blender. Add all of the other ingredients to the blender and blast for 30-60 seconds. Pour and enjoy!

Wake Up, Shake Up!

In a rush? Wake Up, Shake Up does the job beautifully! Although this breakfast is in liquid form, don’t get it confused with a drink. This is very much a ‘complete breakfast’ in a glass and one of the most nutritious blends you’ll ever have. The naturally refreshing juice from the cucumber acts as a diuretic, removing bloating caused by water retention. Cucumber is also wonderful for the hair, skin and nails. Avocado is perhaps the greatest ‘super food’ on earth and contains all seven human nutritional needs; protein, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, water and enzymes.

Pears add a good source of fibre to help ‘get things moving’ in the morning and contribute a little sweetness, whilst the basil lifts the whole blend and just adds that little touch of originality.

JUICY INGREDIENTS: 1 pear (any hard variety), 1 handful fresh basil, 1/4 cucumber, 1/2 small avocado, 250ml filtered water and 1 small handful ice.

JUICY INSTRUCTIONS: Cut the pear into quarters, remove the core and chop into small pieces. Remove the leaves from the basil and discard the stalks. Chop the cucumber into smaller pieces and remove the flesh from the avocado. Add all of the ingredients to the blender and whiz for about 30-60 seconds. Voîla!
